grucker
Good morning, I am attempting to add a double dropdown to an existing drop down menu. The first trigger shows and when on hover shows the first drop down menu and the next trigger, but also the items after the second trigger. Could someone please advise on the css to use to show the second dropdown only when the second trigger is on hover. Kindest regards David

grucker
Very nice, Just wondered if a css style would do the job. If not I will leave it as it is. Not keen on javascript as It can cause problems when browsing. Thanks
daddyalfie
There is a way to do what you want but, admittedly, it is a bit of a "kludge"! Simply have the link point to a brand new page on which the menu has been expanded with new links positioned with CSS. This can be continued with sub-sub-links etc. It works well as long as the new page is essentially similar to the original so that no new graphics or photos need to be downloaded. HERE is a link to one example where I used this trick. Good luck! Alfie
grucker
Yes thats good as well but I have seventy pages with the one included menu. So I cannot see it. Thanks for the tip for a smaller site. David

grucker
Have you looked at Stu Nicholls pure CSS drop down menus http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/dd_valid.html Thank you, the two lines of code I required were ul li:hover ul li a {display:block;} ul li a.hide, ul li a:visited.hide {display:none;} Thanks again for the tip.
