daddyalfie Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 In reading he W3Schools.com tutorials I noticed they use all manner of in-line styling (<table border="2"> etc) Is that still a good way to go, or is CSS with id or class better? Alfie
Susie Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Use CSS. If you use inline styling and have several tables, making changes to the design will be a major headache. To get you started, here are some CSS-styled tables. http://icant.co.uk/csstablegallery/index.php And here's another gem in my bookmarks. http://cssglobe.com/lab/tablecloth/
LSW Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 As much as I have liked W3Schools (and still use it for SQL references) the fact is that they are way out of date. I have not seen updates in years. It is becoming next to worthless.
daddyalfie Posted June 9, 2010 Author Report Posted June 9, 2010 @ Kyle - I kind of suspected that. Thanks for the confirmation! Alfie
