Tables

In reading he W3Schools.com tutorials I noticed they use all manner of in-line styling (<table border="2"> etc)

 

Is that still a good way to go, or is CSS with id or class better?

Use CSS. If you use inline styling and have several tables, making changes to the design will be a major headache.

As much as I have liked W3Schools (and still use it for SQL references) the fact is that they are way out of date. I have not seen updates in years. It is becoming next to worthless.
