Guest Arthur
I'm an artist/photographer/musician and I'm using Dreamweaver CS4, great program, all is good and dandy, building my website has been going smoothly thus far including any problems that have arisen except the following: Problem: I have my links set to a specific color, underlined (as far as text is concerned) etc. Which is great when it comes to the color scheme of my site. However my issue is with two graphic icons, which are basically left and right arrows for the user to access the next page of thumbnails, they're left and right facing triangle PNG's that are inside a square file. When I designate them as links to the next page, they acquire the link properties that I've set in the page properties. In other words, my simple triangular arrows now have an ugly orange square border around them. Question: Is there any way I can disable the link properties for those icons (and still keep them as links), without affecting the link properties for the whole page? Is there a "disable link color code"? Or maybe my best bet is to disable underlines for links in the page properties? I appreciate any help I can get and thank you for your time. falkencreative
You can. Usually you'd do this by adding a class either to the element surrounding the link (for example, all of the links within a certain div won't get the border: .divname a { border:0; } or by giving the link itself a class name: a.classname { border:0; }
