Wickham Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 This page http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=35291 has a link near the top to a pdf file Search Engine Optimization Starter Guide! with Google's SEO advice. It has advice for urls and what to avoid, but I can't see a mention of avoiding the word "the".
LauraM Posted March 20, 2010 Author Report Posted March 20, 2010 Thank you, I am on the verge of giving up. Just don't know where to go with it.
newseed Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 My url has 'the' in it (www.thekaspergroup.com). I have no problems with it.
administrator Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Hi, Everyone is correct; there is nothing negative about using the word 'the' in your domain. How long has the problematic website been up?
