youngros
It works fine in everything else and is set to emulate IE7 so what have I done to lose the scroll bar in IE8? Fairly certain this is a CSS issue.

Andrea
I don't see a scrollbar in FX, either - but I don't need one. The entire content nicely fits onto about half my monitor in height and about 80% of the width (1280 x 1024)
virtual
@Andrea If you resize your browser smaller in FF the scrollbar appears. Edited February 6, 2010 by virtual
virtual
There are no vertical scrollbars in any of the IE browsers and in IE6 only the header and navigation show up. Remove overflow: visible; from *
newseed
Without the vertical scrollbar I cannot scroll this page: http://www.sanssouciwebdesign.com/weather/rain_detail.php Unless you can know that every page is going to fit the height of every screen size, I suggest you allow the scrollbars to appear on default this way you can scroll from page to page without the page shifting. youngros
Thanks Lynne, no idea how or where that came from :/ It wasn't intentional to lose the scrollbar. There are one or two other issues with IE8 regarding sizes of divs that work perfectly in Firefox and IE7 but mess up in 8. I hadn't realised what a hash that made of my pages. Once it is sorted it will go out on its own domain. Oh well sun shining, that makes a change.
