How can I get a site?

I have designed the site. Have all of my HTML pages done. All the pics selected and referenced in the pages.

I assume my next step is to register the domain name and then find a host.

Where can I go to once I register the name so that I can use all of my own pages and not be forced to use these sites where they have the designs done already?

Very frustrated.

Just look up hosting on Google. There are many.
