administrator Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 Hi, A little off topic stuff but I figure someone might find it useful. So, what are the two best pieces of technology I bought in the last few years? 1. Apple Cinema Display - 27" If you working with spreadsheets, photoshop, code editors ... this is a must have. I do a lot of spreadsheet work these days and to be able to open two full spreadsheets on one display without having to flip around is crazy productive. I get less headaches too. 2. Epson XP-810 Wireless Printer, scanner ... it may order pizza too. After 8 years, I recently retired my old Epson Stylus 200 and upgraded. This new wireless printer so far has been amazing. Just being able to wirelessly print, scan and it supports scanning and printing on both sides of the paper, this is very useful. Pictures attached. Stefan
falkencreative Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 The Cinema display is the next on my list now that I (recently) purchased a new laptop (I currently use an older 23" Apple display). I might try to wait a bit (at least till the big Apple event in June?) to see if they come out with a new version. The current display was launched in Sept 2011, so it's overdue for an update. Might be nice if it added additional ports and/or at least upgraded to USB3.
administrator Posted April 4, 2014 Author Report Posted April 4, 2014 I got the Thunderbolt version of the display ... so I am not missing USB3 too much. It's super nice and will make you more productive. Stef
