Humanizing A Web Page

Hi,

 

We've been working on adding a more 'human' touch to the studioWeb home page ... so it seemed that the easiest way to do this, was to add a photo of humans!

 

 

We also thought that well chosen image could instantly tell people about the purpose of the site. I've attached the before and after screenshots ... let me know what you think.

I think the picture is great - no guessing that we're looking at students learning here.

Kittens are cute, but I think your photo gets the point across so much better:

I think the new look makes it obvious that it's a site providing web developement instructional courses. I wonder though, might be kind of cool if you could use a revamped frog that looks like an instructor. Kinda like the gecko on Geico.

But I have to give slightly higher marks to Andrea's cat.

You laugh, but that damn cat, Chandler is his name, has made it his mission in life to ALWAYS sit in front of the monitor where I currently have the more important stuff up. And when I push him aside, he bites me.

Oh - and the cute figurines up on the monitors... yeah, he knocked them of years ago...
