bullets, or ul's

sorry i am very new at this, when i use the ul to make a bullet i am getting screwed up.

 

ok i will have two lines of text behind a bullet, in stead of the bullet being on the top line of the text it shows up in front of the bottom line of text, what am i doing wrong?

Bullets can be outside (default) or inside; see item 5 which may help explain it:-
