SunnyOne99 Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 Everyone was so helpful with my last problem so... I'm back! On the attached page, there are two tables - the second table is the correct width, the first table is not nor is the rest of the column. This is also true of other pages. I have the CSS for the table set at 454px as well as the right column. Thanks for any help you can send my way! http://keepingfoodsafeathome.110mb.com/webproject/bug.html
newseed Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 Your prolem is the third column table header. Common Symptoms/Onset* The line Symptoms/Onset* behaves like one word which widens your cell. Put a space on either side of the / to break the line.
SunnyOne99 Posted July 25, 2009 Author Report Posted July 25, 2009 Thanks TKG - I like the width of that table - it's the other table and the rest of the page that I'd like to make the same width.
newseed Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 You second table is giving you a false width which is why you should break that line of text I mentioned in my last post. Once you do that you will see the true width of 454px thus it's really not as wide as you like it to be. To get it to look wider you will need to increase that width.
SunnyOne99 Posted July 25, 2009 Author Report Posted July 25, 2009 (edited) Thanks, Newseed - I get it now - the rest of the page is at the assigned width. Thanks for your help! Yup! I fixed it by widening the container, right column, tables and paragraphs. Thanks much for the help! Edited July 25, 2009 by SunnyOne99
