Guest Baz
G'day, I am a 66 year young Aussie. Was led to this forum by using Stefans' tutorial, great stuff, thank you. My website (niche market) was published with coolpage. Ok at the time as I had no idea of publishing a site, I am a Mechanic. The time has come when I need to upgrade the site, so I jumped in the deep end with CS3. After Stefs' tutorial I did a few pages and published a new Index page. hacked it around & got it to work in FF & IE8. Realising that the CSS was rough, and the way I did the page was a hack, I redid the page, ( not published) The problem is I used a css page from CS3 and it did not appear correct in IE8, ok in FF. The preview in CS3 is not good & is not what you get when published. So, I have published the original unchanged sheet from CS3. Its ok in FF, but the side bar text is out of position in IE. As I am using the side bar as a menu it moves out of top position. Can anyone suggest a work around please. The original CS3 sheet is here h ttp://datsport.com/test.html note the difference in FF vs IE8. my very much hack page & the layout that I want is here h ttp://datsport.com/ thank you for any assistance. cheers Baz
administrator
Hi, The key to dealing with your IE vs. Firefox problems is to use IE Conditional Comments so that you can add CSS that remedies IE's problematic interpretation of CSS - IE basically does things wrong. Hope that helps, Stefan
