Title tag in CSS

I am trying to manupilate the title in your CSS example - no matter what I put in the css...

 

 

title {

font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif;

font-size: 14px;

color: #FF6600;

background-image: url(../textures/whitemarble3.gif) ;

}

 

it does not change....

 

Then when I tried putting the whole things in a

block it

disappeared all together...

 

?

There is no CSS tag named 'title' which can be styled.

 

Please post your complete html page so we can see what you are calling 'title'. Do you mean to style a div with an ID? In that case, the following would work.

#title {
... add styles here
}


... div content here
