can't change colors on bar

I'm using a template and can't seem to change or keep the color changed on the bar tabs Home etc.

I figured out how to change my color on the type.

Size? the page is showing 1250x1500.

When I view it: file>view in browser>Safari.

It comes out real big. Anyway to changed the size once its

built?
