pats
I am very new to the world of "flashing" and "swfing". We purchased a flash intro template for our comany web page. I was able to intstall it and it works great. However, I need to put a skip intro option before the flash starts loading. My question, do I do this in the .fla file or the .swf file and what exactly are the differences. I thought that maybe the .swf was the executable for the .fla but some things I've read indicate that you can change the .swf file without changing the .fla file. Did I read that correctly. Any help would be great. thanks
lm
The best option would be if the Skip Intro button coded as a html link on a page on which the intro is embedded; so visitors will see it before the intro is loaded.

Guest arlen
That is a good simple answer that will work just great. To answer your question about which file to change, you will need to change the .fla then when you save it will change the .swf . Then you just insert the .swf into the page and you are done. I use Flash 8 to make my Flash presentations Edited August 1, 2009 by arlen
