Guest Cashster09 Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 (edited) Hi again, ok, so i've tried to validate another page and i was doing well fixing them. I have no idea what they are telling me on the validation page. If i validate transitional it works, but not strict... If i knew what they wanted me to fix or understood what it was that was not validating, then i could probably fix it. Apparently, it's my signup hidden tags in my Icontact form (email marketing) thanks for help www.web dry cleaners.com/onlinecoupons.html Edited April 27, 2009 by Cashster09
Wickham Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 (edited) Line 160, Column 51: document type does not allow element "INPUT" here; missing one of "P", "H1", "H2", "H3", "H4", "H5", "H6", "PRE", "DIV", "ADDRESS" start-tag Try enclosing the input tag in a p tag or div tag Edit: I tried it and it didn't seem to disrupt the layout and the error disappeared. Guest Cashster09 Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 (edited) Wow, great....I actually tried that yesterday but i put all the hidden tags in one p. ex hidden....... hidden...... hidden...... hidden....... and that didnt work....i will try each one seperate.... Your solution worked! ty very much....It works on IE6, FF 3.0 and Chrome as far as not affecting the formatting...Havent checked it yet on IE7, but im sure it's gonna be ok. thanks again. Andrea Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Putting them all in one p would not work, because they are all in table cells and you cannot stick multiple table cells inside a p tag.
