  1. Thanks i think this is what i'm looking for, but i need some directions. what do you mean above the heading? In pageA.html : i want that when i press on the "id=Education" (link in pageA) to appear on the page position view of the "id=CV" in pageB.html. i am giving this example because i did understand what you have given me, but i tried to aply but with no sucess. can you apply your instructions depending on my examples.
  2. well my question is a little wierd so please try to understand it :D i decided not to use frames in my html page. What i want is that in a certain html pages when you switch for html to another the positon view of the page wont change. As i press on a link that goes to another html, i dont want that the pages view well go back on top and that i will need to scroll down again. i mean that i want the html.page view to be steady, to be set on a certain view position.

i don't know if my answer is correct but you can see what i did to my design: LOOK it the bold and underline part maybe this is what you a looking for. #sidebar2 h2 { background: url('') no-repeat left 50%; background-color: #FFFFFF; height: 41px; width: 230px; border-bottom: 4px solid #B8B8B8; font-size: 15px; )
  4. Thank you i just wondering that if i finish 100% offline and then put it online as it is, would i have to reconfigure the links all over again? I mean that would i need to re-link the links again online?
  5. Please move the topic if it is in the wrong topic forum. thank you I do know now how to write a html and i'm ready to to the full design and structures. BUT i do need some information before i can go a step further. Can i work offline to build the website 100% before uploading it online for the launch?
  6. hey, yes it worked. I changed to html and i use the link for doctype that thelma used. thanks! buuut Thelma you gave me the link to the right doctype () , when i put the doctype it works pefectly but as i open the html file once again (close and open the file again with dreamweaver) it still goes back to the old doctype ( ).
  7. hello its not a new topic, i know but i still havent found the solutionon this wensite or on the net. have fixed all the issue with firefox as lsw said ,and i fixed the issues with ie6 also. i did a seperate css filesheet for ie6 but as i post the link to the conditional comments Welcome to the Palestinain Arabic institue i want the website to work with ie6. if needed the css filesheet and websites codes can be uploaded. thank you
  8. Hey, i just figure out the problem with the wrapper, just some measurement issue ( ). So i fixed the firefox page as you suggesed and now i'll start with the Conditional comments you mentionned. thanks alot
  9. I really appreciate what you have written here LSW,thank you. But this is too complicated for me. i just did the site few days ago (and learned how to do one) and i can't developp it anymore unless i clear this last issue. I can send the file of the site (it has not been uploaded online) to one of the moderators. The site is not a great importance for me so you can take as a time as you like. thanks
  10. Hello I have created a website a couple of days ago,a small one. I have checked the XHTML and the CSS with W3C validator and I have cleared all the problems. But somehow in the Firefox browser, the bottom border of the "wrapper"(the frame around the body) of the XHTML still appears in the middle. However this problem does not occur in the IE browser. If needed i can post the XHTML code and the CSS sheet. Thank you
