  3. Thank you for the above suggestions.....did not work though. I had done that already, but thought i would try again. I tried to upload the changes, so you could see....but of course for some reason I am having gremlins in my computer and I can't. I think I need to go get a coffee(or something stronger) and take a break. Any other suggestions????? Thanks again, Corinne
  4. The gradient background works in FF but does not work in IE. I am banging my head against the wall..again...and again...and again. I have done this before but can not get it to work.   5. Hi Eric, I like your gallery, and thanks for all the work you put into site to help us all out. I would have at the minimum 50+ pictures that she would want up on her site. Sorry if this is a stupid question but approx. how many pictures could I have with a gallary like this without it effecting down load time of the page? P.S your wife is very cute (my husband is sitting beside me and said this) P.P.S....if i new your were that good looking, i would have been asking you questions sooner (my husband just slapped me:) ) Thanks for your help, Corinne
  6. falkencreative, Thank you....lots of good stuff on that link you sent. I have so much to learn, I am learning as I go which creates alot of work and do overs at times. This site and all of you have taught me sooooo much, but still have a long way to go. Now I need to go through my css and condence it, I think I have alot of the same stuff just different classes. I guess that what happen when you are designing as you go(well when I design as I go). I love doing this, It is just hard to put what I have in my mind on the screen. Thanks again for everyones help.   7. Thanks again Virtual:) I did figure it out (first time for everything). They had a div id named wrapper and I also had the same so the gallery was using my wrapper div which was wider. Thanks for mentioning the wrapper that helped me figure it out. Corinne
  8. ThanksVirtual, i thought i tried that i will look again. I think i do have it in my content area which is 518px wide (i think). I don't have tables except for a pedigree on tobie's page or are you meaning the plogger gallery is done in tables? . can i ask where did you find the code for the table width at 100% ? Do you know of any other photo gallery that would be good to use, there will be lots and lots of pictures from her trials. Thank you for looking....i will try and find the table width:D edit to say: Duh....I just put the php code in I did not see what the code actually looked like, I can mabe figure this out now. And if you have suggestions for a good gallery without tables I would love some recommendations.....thanks again
  9. I am new at webdesign and i am trying to put plogger.org a photo gallery into a webpage. I got it in but it is too wide, does anyone know how to make it smaller here is a link to the site. ww w.trist ark9.co m/photos.php Thank you for any help and if you have any other suggestions that would be great. I am using a gallery like this because there will be lots of pictures. I did try to use a div and just make it smaller but that did not work......that would have been to easy.   10. Thank you..... I was hoping that was the case, her site is with in the top 5 depending on search and I did not want to change that for the worse on her. I am just learning webdesign and have only done 3 sites. I am learning soooo much from this site, I really appreciate all the help you and everyone else gives. One day hopefully I can do the same.   11. My friend wants me to redo her site, it is in tables (lots and lots of tables). She is ranked very well with many key words. If I redo her site will this effect the page ranking? Is it better to leave as is and just change some pictures and reduce the clutter. Thank you for your help. Corinne
  12. Thank you Susie, I am going to try to figure out how to do this but I will wait till I have a little more time to work on it, I will go with the css gallery for now. And then I will post the site and I am sure I will have some questions and need some help. Susie I looked at your website you have some very nice sites you have done in your portfolio.   13. Thanks for looking, I have kinda figured it out but it needs quite a bit more work. I am going to use a css gallery for now and by the time they have a bunch more pictures I will have hopefully figured it out:D Thanks again.....I have learned so much from this site and tutorials.
  14. I have a website i am doing and I was going to use zenphoto for the gallery. Can I have the gallery imbedded into my webpage in my content area on the page. I did load it but it goes to its own page, which is ok but it would be nice to have webpage around it. Hope this made sense. Thank you, corinne
  15. I am new at webdesign and am trying to do a site for some friends using css and I need to put in a photo gallery. They would like to be able to upload pictures themselves "easily". I was thinking of using plogger, do you have any other suggestions. I don't think they will ever have alot of photos.   18. Thank you in advance for all the help you offer to everyone! I have a navigation bar and horizontal menu. In firefox the text goes down below my content (I can see it sticking up a little) in IE it is fine. My CSS did validate with no errors. I am new at this a can not figure out what I am doing wrong:( Thank you for any help you can give. Corinne
