  1. Thanks for the suggestion. I did that just now and left it as is. It still doesn't take out that space.
  2. I've tried about everything to try and even out the two verticle columns in this site and am out of ideas. Someone suggested margin-bottom:-2000px padding-bottom:2000px overflow:hidden and this made the entire site black except for the UL. Ideas anyone? http://getbluefrog.com/pcs/main.html
  3. Hi, http://getbluefrog.com/pcs/main.html I'm having a horrible time trying to figure out how to remove the white space below my flash banner. I've tried enclosing it in a div and playing with the margins. I've tried CSS collapse-border. Still no luck. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Box 802 Snoqualmie, WA 98065 What is CPR? Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a combination of rescue breathing and chest compressions delivered to victims thought to be in cardiac arrest. When cardiac arrest occurs, the heart stops pumping blood. CPR can support a small amount of blood flow to the heart and brain to 'buy time' until normal heart function is restored. - American Heart Association American Heart Association Cardiac Arrest A cardiac arrest, also known as cardiopulmonary arrest or circulatory arrest, is the abrupt cessation of normal circulation of the blood due to failure of the heart to contract effectively during systole. A cardiac arrest is different from (but may be caused by) a heart attack or myocardial infarction, where blood flow to the still-beating heart, is interrupted. "Arrested" blood circulation prevents delivery of oxygen to all parts of the body. Cerebral hypoxia, or lack of oxygen supply to the brain, causes victims to lose consciousness and to stop normal breathing, although agonal breathing may still occur. Brain injury is likely if cardiac arrest is untreated for more than 5 minutes,although new treatments such as induced hypothermia have begun to extend this time. To improve survival and neurological recovery immediate response is paramount. - Wikipedia Wikipedia Welcome Life Happens is a CPR, AED, First Aid training center that is dedicated to on-site training and certification in WA. 5. Thanks Thelma. Everything you said was very helpful. I've taken to heart your advice and made the correct changes to the doctype and set the margins to 0 as you suggest. As for the rock, I haven't put the rollover code in yet and just want to figure out the rollover links discrepancy on the page. Firefox shows my bg images much lower than they should be in the navlist. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  6. Thank you for helping. I took to heart the post about having something to see live on a site. Here's a link to the live testing site. http://getbluefrog.com/cs/main.html Thanks for taking a look.
  7. Um... alright I get what you're saying, but jeez, what part of this am I missing? How am I telling Firefox to put them down so low?
  8. It might help you all to see the CSS as well, huh? My bad. html { margin:0; padding:0; background:#FFFFFF; color:#000; } body { min-width:750px; margin:0; padding:0; background:#FFFFFF; color:#000; } #header { background:#ffffff; } #container { background:#ffffff; margin:0 auto; font-family: Ariel, Helvetica, sans-serif; width:750px; } #container img { border:0; } #nav { background:#ffffff; } #main { background:#ffffff; float:left; width:423px; } #sidebar { background:#ffffff; background-image: url(images/marble.gif); background-position: left; background-repeat: no-repeat; float:right; width:327px; height:327px; } #sidebar p { text-align: (430 500) center; } #footer { background:#ffffff; clear:both; } #nav li { padding-right: 1px; display: inline; font-size: 1em; } #nav ul { margin: 0px; padding: 0px; } #how a:link { background-image: url(images/hwchy_button1.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: inherit; } #how a:hover { background-image: url(images/hwchy_button2.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: inherit; } #who a:link { background-image: url(images/who_button1.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: inherit; } #who a:hover { background-image: url(images/who_button2.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: inherit; } #cl a:link { background-image: url(images/cl_button1.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: inherit; } #cl a:hover { background-image: url(images/cl_button2.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: inherit; } #wbs a:link { background-image: url(images/say_button1.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: inherit; } #wbs a:hover { background-image: url(images/say_button2.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: inherit; } #reach a:link { background-image: url(images/reach_button1.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: inherit; } #reach a:hover { background-image: url(images/reach_button2.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: inherit; }

  10. Hi, I'm having issues. I have a navbar with images for links that is placing correctly in IE but in Firefox is pushed so far down that I can only see the very tops of the images. They are also being cut off, and I'm not understanding why it's coming up differently in the two browsers. This is the first webpage I've done from scratch (well with my bf's help) but since we're both newbs we're pulling our hair out. I have the file zipped (since it's not online yet) and was wondering if someone could take a look at it for me. Sorry if this seems like too easy a fix, but it's driving me crazy. Thanks. Ash.
  11. Hi, I'm on the 3rd video in the first package. I'm following along with Stefan but everytime he changes something in the index.txt file, it automatically saves to his html file too, and then refreshing takes just a second. But when I do the same things, I have to go back to Save As and rename it the index.html file (which just asks if I want to replace it, obviously). How can I link these together to save automatically? Thanks for the time and reply. -Ash.
