  1. Cheez, and here I am still struggling with the Beast WordPress, Oh I hate it... It's adding p tags and br tags which I haven't used in a thousand years and is so unfamiliar. Yeah Eric, give me Pagelime or Surreal anyday, and besides the client has to learn how to use the Dashboard. Not to worry, it's Beginners Anguish... I'll get through it and hopefully it won't be the end of me...
  2. At least you will now be ahead of the times and just waiting for IE to catch up. I did the same as Andrea, I let the corners be square in IE. I did try CSSPie but it only worked on the top corners not on the bottom ones, go figure, so I gave up. P.S. Did you forget my little request???
  3. Non mais vous rigolez, dans quel pays, état, ville??? On veut bien t'aider ici, mais c'est plutot axé sur html, css, php que l'aide au logement pour jeunes étudiants fauchés
  4. @mzsade if you want exercises in css mastery and graphics then you should try csszengarden.com They give everyone the same html file and your imagination, graphics and css does the rest. It's quite amazing and their are some fabulous designs there.
  5. Susie, your class widget-area is 550px wide and the customnav is 561px, change the widget-area to 561 and the menu will move over.
  6. Are you talking about Safari for PC, cos it looks OK on Mac
  7. Do you see the difference between these 2 snippets, that is why your image is not showing, case-sensitive... /images/btn01.png (Images/btn01.png);

Have you tried Googling for jquery.colorbox ? That is what the site is using.

@danhodge And hopefully someday you will be "the best ex-noob you will ever meet" because he asked the right questions and got all the answers
  10. Ditto that for HTML5 and CSS3, they would be fantastic if all the browsers behaved the same way. Unfortunately that is one of the problems of web design, the fact that they don't all work the same way. LSW gives good advice, use Firefox primarily and if your site is coded correctly and validates, you should only have a few minor tweaks to make in the other browsers if at all.
  11. It works in both IETester in IE6 and also on my old PC with an original IE6, but that one took like forever to load and play.
  12. Yeah, and you could also not spill food and drink on your laptop ....
  13. I wouldn't recommend washing machines either
  14. @JatinS Please, please if you do make a site like that, don't have the music blaring as soon as it comes up, make it an option for the user to turn on if he wishes to hear it. You know why? Some people surf the internet at work when they're not supposed to, and if your site loads with loud music it will get shut down illico presto and they won't go back there.
  15. I would not bother with books anymore, the web evolves so quickly that the best place to learn is on the internet. P.S. Start out with html and css before attempting anything fancier.
  16. I would suggest to your friend that she finds a horse related template in Wordpress, then she won't have to deal with any code at all. She can add images, pages, text into it through the dashboard. If she knows a little code, she can probably tweak the theme and put her own images in.
  17. There is an element which is not loading, probably the Flash, so I could not test the code in IE7. From looking at it in Firebug, I can see that it is a problem with the way you are positioning your divs. You have way too many floats and are using positioning which you do not need. For example for the header and nav, change to this: #logo {width: 210px; height: 88px;} and remove top from #navbar and add margin-top: 38px; if you write the code for the leftpane-left-bottom #leftpane-left-bottom { clear:both; margin-left:10px; margin-right:0; You will still need to tweak the top margins and I have not corrected the whole page. By the way these corrections work in Firefox too.
  18. If you created the Flash video yourself just Publish it in Flash. Go to the Publish settings first and under Formats check Flash and HTML then click Publish and Flash will create the .swf and .html page. Then just copy the embed code from the html page and put it into your page. P.S. Run a spell check through your site, you have quite a few spelling mistakes.
  19. Hey Eric, If you don't use it, you lose it, you should know that as it does not only apply to brain power Merry Christmas to you and your growing family
  20. Improper Doctype or something above the doctype which is putting IE into Quirks mode. In standards mode it works as it is supposed to in IE
  21. It actually looks a lot better that way
  22. That is what I suggested earlier on, but perhaps Susie missed my post.
  23. Just a suggestion, put the sold sign as a hanging sign (not on a post) at the top so it overflows into the header where his name is and move his name to the center.
  24. Your client sounds like a psycho, stay as far away from her as you can. Block her emails and phone calls, she'll just make you miserable.
