Oh, that and accessibility, how it is hard to convince people to do the right thing, to do what they must feel is morally correct. Very few give a damn about people with special needs, they just want their ego stroked with slick web sites regardless of how many people they lock out.

Right... freelance Web Developers are like Artists, always starving until the next client. Very few truly make it big. Commercially you have no chance to get a corporate job without a degree in something.

Beyond that, I worked for 10 years and have nothing to show for it, every site I ever built for anyone has gone offline. Not one exists so neither does a portfolio. It is just not worth it for me.
