  1. Hi,

    I'll have to take a look when I have a free moment later this morning, but I would seriously advise that you remove the login information from your post right away! You never know who might be reading here and someone could do some damage with that info!! Just send it to me in a PM if you want. :)

    Edit to add: I decided to take a look now. I downloaded the theme to see if there was a readme doc inside and there was. You can always check for that in all wordpress themes. Here's what it says about those images:

    For showing blog images make a new custom field named thumbnail and for the value, put the link to that image. Make sure image dimension is 140 X 140 px.

    (I added a couple words to that to make the instructions more clear.)

    Hope this helps.

  2. Without seeing the dashboard, it's hard to say exactly, but is there some place where you can upload images that are specific for those spots? I mean - some premium themes I've worked with have a special options screen where you can add images to fit their predetermined areas.

    What is the theme's home page? I did a quick google search and didn't come across it. Maybe I can read through there and see what's going on...

  3. What always, and I do mean ALWAYS, happens to me is that they show back up when I've already moved on and am knee deep in 3 other websites. I struggle with that big time because I feel like they deserve my attention since I have some of their money, but my schedule is very limited and tight, so I don't always have time when they're ready.

    I'm redeveloping my website and in the process, I'm revamping some of my policies. Hopefully I'll be able to prevent this issue in the future.

    Good luck!

  4. I am really a little frazzled here. How do you guys handle client scheduling? I have several current clients who are waiting for major updates/changes to their site plus I have two new clients waiting for me to begin their sites. I feel like I've maybe bitten off more than I can chew, but a couple months ago I was fine and running on schedule. What's happening is that some of my clients ask to be added to my schedule but then when it's their turn, they aren't ready. When they finally are ready, I've already moved on and really don't have time for their stuff.

    I feel like I'm going slightly crazy while trying to create a couple new designs plus all the maintenance work that my current clients need. Add on top of that needing to spend time with my kids, shuttle them back and forth to school and then cooking dinner, laundry, etc. and you have the recipe for someone who feels totally overwhelmed.

    I ran across the website of another designer who publishes her schedule in two week increments. So, she shows something like this:

    May 4 - Client Name

    May 18 - Client Name

    June 1 - Client Name

    June 15- Client Name

    and so on....

    She states on her site that if the client isn't ready when it's their turn, their project will need to be rescheduled.

    Maybe I should include something like this on my new site. I have to do SOMETHING.

    So, how do you guys deal with this?

  5. I'm no expert. lol :D

    Fazlionline, I got your PM and sent one back. You might check your cpanel to see if your host provides Fantastico. If it does, you can install Wordpress in just a couple clicks. You tell it what directory to put it in and it will do the rest. Don't create the directory first, though. Fantastico will do it for you.

    In your PM you gave me a link to yoursite.com/blog and I see that there's something already there. So, if you want to use /blog, you'll need to delete what's there and start over.

    Let us know how it goes!

  6. I scanned through the accessibility archives, but didn't really see what I'm looking for. If I missed it, could someone point me to the right place? Anyway, I am looking for a checklist of basics that I should include in a site that needs to be accessible. I'm working on a site for a UK charity organization and it's a requirement of theirs. I know I could do some reading and research, but that will take a bit and I'm really pressed for time. So, is there a checklist floating around out there that you guys know about? :cool:

  7. It would also work to put each section in its own div and float them left/right respectively.

    For example:

    HTML:

    www.sitename.com

    CSS:

    #sitename {

    width: _____px;

    height: _____px;

    float: left;

    }

    #nav {

    width: _____px;

    height: _____px;

    float: right;

    }

    Note: I don't recommend using paragraphs for those items, though. Maybe the site name should be an h1 and the nav links should be an unordered list. What I wrote is just for an example...

  8. This isn't a big deal, but I do wonder why I cannot access my wamp installation via http://localhost anymore. I was able to do so a while back when I first installed wamp. But then I uninstalled wamp and installed another similar program (can't remember what it was). But just now I uninstalled everything and reinstalled wamp and now I can only access my stuff via the 127.0.0.1 address. Wonder why that is?

    Any thoughts?

  9. No, the emails aren't going into the junk folders. They are just not being received there at all. It is very strange because I've tested with a couple of my email addresses and it works fine. ??

    ETA: I just remembered that I have a hotmail account so I tried it and she's right. It is not being received in hotmail inboxes. Weird!

  10. I'm stumped. My client's Wordpress website was sending messages through the contact form to her hotmail address just fine until I upgraded her to the latest version. Now the form won't send to her hotmail account. It works fine with other email addresses - just not hotmail. Where would you start to fix this?

    ETA: This is the form we're using: http://www.dagondesign.com/articles/secure-form-mailer-plugin-for-wordpress/.
