CSS Chapter 2

I just began CSS Chapter 2 and already I have a couple of questions.

Q1. When I open up the broken image in chapter 2, lesson 1, when I right click on the image, I see "Inspect" not "Inspect Element". Could this be related to me using a newer version of windows??

Q2. Once I am in, the visuals look different than what you have. I quickly noticed mine doesn't have the grey background and I see the network tab but not the design tab.. see below:

I am working on a website for school. I couldn't get the css file to link to html. so I tried another smaller code and it doesn't work either. here are my files for the smaller code. I have tried different browsers. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. anything.css index.html

I am not sure why on line 28 it is not italicizing. I attached the class to the p tag properly and wrote the span class within the p tag. Any help would be appreciated.

i recently started your course (this Saturday) I’ve done the 2 html courses.

ive got over 30 thousand points on your course. I’m mid way off css but I just don’t understand it. How can I obsorb the information so I can at least know what going on.

Positioning A Bacground Photo

I am trying to add a background to a few of my pages (categories). I want to it evenly placed on both sides of the Y axis, but cannot seem to get this done. Is it the size of the photo or something with my code? Please see below. Thank you in advance for your help.
