{"id":3130,"date":"2012-12-05T16:49:33","date_gmt":"2012-12-05T21:49:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.killersites.com\/blog\/?p=3130"},"modified":"2012-12-05T20:39:53","modified_gmt":"2012-12-06T01:39:53","slug":"making-an-e-commerce-website-smarter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.killersites.com\/blog\/2012\/making-an-e-commerce-website-smarter\/","title":{"rendered":"Making an e-commerce Website Smarter."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi,<\/p>\n<p>One of my goals in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.killersites.com\/blog\/2012\/simplifying-a-web-store\/\">project &#8216;simplify&#8217;<\/a>, was to not only make the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.killervideostore.com\/\">KillerVideoStore<\/a> simpler to use &#8230; but also smarter. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.killersites.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/007.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"shopping cart\" width=\"128\" height=\"128\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3140\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.killersites.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/007.png 256w, https:\/\/www.killersites.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/007-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 128px) 100vw, 128px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is a smart e-commerce website?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For me, it is a combination of things that the store does:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Let&#8217;s people interact with the store in a way that enhances the store for everyone.<\/li>\n<li>Makes it easy for people to find what they are looking for.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Creating a store &#8216;smart&#8217;, is much more about making it simple and useable &#8230; rather than trying to add all kinds of fancy whiz-bang technology to it. But technology is part of the equation as well. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>So for example: <\/p>\n<p>We now have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.killervideostore.com\/testimonials.php\">testimonials and rating system<\/a> on a per course basis.
