I need help in improving the "selling" aspect of my web site: -----. I get traffic to the site, but the purchasing ratios are low. What can I do to improve the sales ability of the site? Your site looks very amateurish - way too many colors, not a real theme of any sorts. And while I get that the animated graphic is meant to convey that dripping faucets cost money, it may not be the most inticing to get me to SPEND money. Change the "Buy Now" link to "Products" - I was uncomfortable hitting "buy now" not knowing what I was buying - and I KNOW that nothing will happen unless I actually enter credit card info. This big green box seems to contain links - key words like yours on a side panel are generally expected to be navigation links - but your link doesn't even show up until much farther down. Drop the visitor counter - that is also another amateur accessory from the stone age of webdesign. Your big orange box tells me to buy it and try it - but it hasn't told me yet what 'it' is - can I get it at eBay? Your site is way too wide for any resolution under 1152 and much content gets hidden if one's not scrolling right and left. And "Bogo" Try it for Free" - I think you should first introduce the Bogo - what is it? I'm not even going to address your code issues. I don't know if this helps you - but to sum it up: Your website screams 'amateur' - and beyond that, one reason that would keep me from buying from you (or anybody) is if I can get it cheaper elsewhere. Iagree with Thelma, although not so diplomatically. I would certainly not trust this site with any personal info for money, not in a life time. Do not even try to improve the site, just trash it. I know you likely worked hard on it and thought it was good, but anyone here including myself would not even show our early sites now because they were so bad, that is how one learns. Best thing would be to hire a good designer, not a local kid with cracked software, but one who knows SEO and standards. Otherwise if you wish to do it yourself get a professional looking template like those below and then begin tweaking it to fit your needs. We do not mean to be harsh, but it is the look of your site that is a big killer of sales. Like the old saying goes, "If you want to make money you have to spend money." |

On first look , the site looked okay. As I dug deeper with-in the site I started noticing a lot of err ... what's the word ? Clutter ? |

sometimes it happens, it means something is missing in your site either it is graphic or content. A quality content and content rich site always attract visitors. some specialized companies in providing professional content writing services to optimize flow of visitors to your site and provide unique, relevant content for you web site.
