In Firefox 2 I could go to Tools Page Info and there was a button for links which enabled the CSS file urls to be copied and pasted to a new window for viewing. FF3 has no links button, only general, media (for images, thank God that's still there), permissions and security. How do I see the site's CSS files quickly, apart from the old way of opening the source file and adding the CSS file url to the domain name? It must be somewhere. I can't believe that they would omit a valuable link from the Page Info. When sorting out a problem for someone I need to download their CSS files and javascript files and the manual process often involves a bit of trial and error if the site has several levels of sub-directory with the CSS file in a different level from the html file. The Firefox Link was useful as it went straight to the CSS file without delay. ---------------------------------------- Code downloaded to my PC will be deleted in due course. Thanks, I'll try WebDeveloper. I was looking at Firefox Add-ons and wondered if it was in Firebug but there are some adverse comments about Firebug for Firefox 3.0 so I've avoided downloading that. ---------------------------------------- Code downloaded to my PC will be deleted in due course. ...we're actively trying to take over the domain as well. Don't worry we're trying to make it happen! - Alex Polvi That is in regards to Firebug which seems to have stopped work. Polvi is the Product Manager or such for Mozilla. This comment was made in his blog Alex.Polvi.Net far down in the comments. Apparently Mozilla is trying to take over Firebug to make it a native FX tool. But other than the Beta, I am not sure we will see anything really happen until Mozilla gets their hand on it. You can turn off CSS in Firefox under View/Page Style. Is that what you meant? [Edit: Rereading your post... guess it is not what you meant, scratch that.] ---------------------------------------- Gu.aal kwsh yak'i itakw ijeet wugoodk LSW-WebDesign.com ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by LSW at Jun 18, 2008 9:34:18 AM] |
