Including Pages using ASP

Ok, here goes post 2. I did some research on what would have been the viable alternatives for including a page into my html document. What I wanted to do was include part of a page that would be repeated alot. Similar to a menu, and not have to update it multiple times on different files. For example

A floating menu on the left, saved unto a file which is then called into the html document, and since it is repeated in multiple pages it would be counter productive to include the content in every single page.

LSW suggested I use an Include, which was involving server stuff. Which Im only positive that my hosting has ASP.

Now with that said, I'm trying to call the file using

<!--#include file="menu.html"-->

inside the main html document.
But its location is still being placed in the css. Should I do the placement of the menu on the actual menus document itself or using the css file I allready had?

Hi,

What do you mean by:

"But its location is still being placed in the css."

confused

That said, watch my php videos on includes because they work the exact same way as ASP includes and as such ... will answer your question.

Hope that helps,

Stefan

Re: Including Pages using ASP

This has absolutely nothing to do with CSS. Forget CSS, it is not part of the issue here, it comes in later, right now watch the videos, the only diference will be what code you use... the consept is the same across languages.

We will mess with the CSS later once it works.
