If you look at the following section below:

Filter by Category:                Less options
Filter by Province:    
Filter by Region:    
Filter by Town:    

It is some kind of search box and allows the user to search per section.

I need to know what type of search query this is, will it work on my website? Must I have a database in order to use something like this.

Yes, that is most likely done using a database. The database would contain all the items, and each result would be linked to a specific section.
