I can't be really sure but Photoshop or Adobe Suite has some kind of feature setting that uses alpha video that requires the appropriate hardware installed (aka: video card) to handle the process. If you have done any preferences settings as of late then that may be your problem. Just undo that hardware dependent feature from Adobe by looking under Edit / Preferences menu.
Otherwise, if this error started happening with no new changes or updates by you, then run your calibration for your monitor.

Nothing to do with hardware video alpha, it's the colour calibration settings profile that basically makes sure that the colours, brightness, gamma, contrast appear correctly on that monitor.
Any visual input or output device, such as monitors, printers and scanners should be calibrated so that the images appear the same on each device and on other peoples' equipment.
The monitor should come with it's own calibration software and Adobe ships its own with its software "Adobe Gamma" I think. Run the saftware and follow its instructions.
