I can see that jquery is used for the homepage, but what I would like to know is what plugin are they using to have the images change. I looked at the galleria jquery plugin, but that does not have the numbers on the side like the whitehouse.gov website.
It is jCarousel.
It just did not seem like it was.
It is - you can look in the head of their source code and see a link to the script. I'm thinking they used the carousel with external controls and styled it to suit their site.
