Topic: Flash Noob - Please Help!

Hello All, I've created some flash menus and everything's working fine except in IE7 & FF3 the title pops up on mouseover which looks like hell.

In other words, the "About Us" button pops up its "about us" title when you mouse over it.

Like this:

There must be an easy way to disable this.

Thanks much in advance for any guidance.

I don't think we have any Flash gurus here but if it helps any, when I have an image or an link tag defined but I don't want any of those little yellow popups I would just define the title or alt tag with just quotes only like this:

<a title="" href="link.htm">Link</a>

<img alt="" src="image.jpg">

Not sure if Flash handles something like this or maybe some other similar method.

Thanks for the reply but, alas, no go on the empty title tag.

Still searching...

do you have a test page?
Generally while in Flash , click on the button and see what you get on "over" state.

We had a Flasher... who was it and where did they go?

What happens with Flash disabled? Can you still use the site?

Hey, thanks for the reply. The site is only on my test server but should be live tomorrow.

Hello, the site isn't live yet but I strongly suspect this would be a problem. I had this issue once before but was paying a coder to work on the site and he fixed it quite quickly.

I don't have his contact info presently.

As with most of my coding headaches, the solution usually turns out to be about 1/∞ the trouble of finding it.

You should Google "flash forums" and ask your question there. Because unfortunatly, nobody here knows didly-squat about flash.
