Topic: Menu and Flash Issue

I have resolved issues like this before but I cannot resolve this one.

Hover over the left nav and you will see that it goes under the youtube flash.  I have set some z-index to no avail.

Any suggestions would be grateful.

Re: Menu and Flash Issue

It works fine in Firefox 3.5.3 on Mac, your issue is with IE of course. The following should fix this problem which I had some time ago.

Re: Menu and Flash Issue

Use wmode opaque vs transparent. It's less resourse intense. Maybe your link already said that, I didn't read it.

Re: Menu and Flash Issue

No it didn't and I wasn't aware that opaque could be used instead of transparent. My post just briefly explains why and links to Adobe on the subject, where they only mention transparent.
I just read the rest of Adobe's article and it does link to an archived tech post which explains it better

Re: Menu and Flash Issue

I forgot about the transparency mode for flash. Adding it resolved the problem.
