Topic: Wordpress 2.8: Registering Muliple Users with Same Email Address

I just upgraded this morning to Wordpress 2.8 and a feature I was using and need has been changed.  It makes sense, but multiple users cannot be registered if they have the same email.  The problem is that I register "authors" on the back-end so that I can publish writing from several church ministers under their named.  I use my email address for all of them and now it won't let me.

Anyone familiar enough with PHP and Wordpress to point me in the right direction?

It would be easier to just use different email addresses than to go into the wordpress codebase to try and modify core behavior.

... After all, email addresses are cheap these days!
