Topic: SEO AND HOW TO USE WORDPRESS

Hello

Thank you for all your great work and being such an
encouragement to learn more about code and Wordpress.

From what I've been taught, Wordpress can be a very good SEO tool
if it is kept up and new entries are made every day.  I did do entries
on my web site for about 90 days last year and my articles began
showing up on Google.  It was very interesting.

Now, here is why I am writing.
I have a website http://www.secondwindstaging.com that I am using to
sell lighting equipment.  It is entirely HTML, and I have been trying to
work to convert it over to CSS, and that will happen soon (I truly hope).

I was considering converting the web site over to a  Wordpress site. 
I was also considering instead to put a Wordpress blog
on the site at the second level.
Question:  Would SEO work better if the whole site was Wordpress?
Would Wordpress be stifled if it is put on the second level?
Would the Wordpress articles come up on Google as readily if it
is installed on the second level?

Another question:  Will Wordpress hold HTML, or will I need to
use CSS.  The thought is daunting because I am not ignorant about
how long it takes to learn any code.  I'd like to get the Wordpress up
soon.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Wordpress does have some advantages over a traditional HTML based site... ease of updating, better urls (from an SEO perspective), etc. However, keep in mind that fresh content is more important to SEO than which content management system you are using. Just using Wordpress itself does not necessarily mean you are going to get better rankings.

Maybe, but there is no guarantee. However, updating your site to use CSS and separate the content from the styling may improve your search engine ranking because search engine spiders will have an easier time understanding your site. Having your entire site in Wordpress may make it easier to update, hopefully encouranging you to do more updates, and thus improve your search engine ranking that way.

No.

Yes.

In modern web design, HTML tends to go hand in hand with CSS. Modern web sites use a mix of the two -- HTML for the content, and then CSS to style the content. I suppose you could try to do with just HTML and inline styling, but it would be much better (and save you a significant amount of time) to learn CSS and incorporate that. CSS isn't complicated to learn, and hopefully you would pick it up quickly.

The advantage of using Wordpress and many other Blogs/CMS software, is that they take care of all the SEO stuff for you automatically.

Other than that, there is nothing special about Wordpress based pages vs. static HTML pages.

I use Wordpress all over the place.

Using Wordpress will also ensure your CSS renders properly in all browsers.

i would like to mention one powerful tip to optimize your Blog Website.

Install RSS Footer plugin and then you would definitely see the difference in results  smile

This is not a magic ...there is a logical reasoning and i wish you to analyse that and have fun
