Page layout goes askew when window is resized

Hi all -- one of my sites is driving me nuts with this problem:

-- when window is resized in certain browsers (IE7, and ... ?), the page elements go askew.
-- i was able to fix this with the following code:

-- but it only worked in some browsers and in others caused flashing and other problems that kept the page from loading at all so I removed it.

Any help is appreciated!!
Site in question is wsda .org

As a side note:
I am currently looking for a developer to hire on an as-needed basis, skills I'm looking for include css and JQuery, and I often work using the Squarespace CMS platform (squarespace .com). Let me know if you're interested!!

Who put ads on my site?

My site has no visible ads on it. There is a blog attached to it (the blog does have ads).

Today I went to look at the file through my FTP software to find about a hundred html pages that I didn't put there. They were all ads. They are not visible on the site, just in the file.

How are they getting there? There has got to be a back door open someplace.

There are several places that could be vulnerable.
The Word Press blog
The host
The template from Active Den.

How do I start looking for the problem and solution?

Thanks.

It appears there might be an issue with the time settings here on the Forum.

I just adjusted my Profile Settings so that the Forum time is correct. Is the Server time okay with everyone else? My settings are off by one timezone. I physically exist in GMT -7, but the Forum needs to be set to GMT -6 to display the correct time.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Hacked again

A few weeks ago I posted about a website being hacked into, script injection on the index page. Google wouldn't allow you to look at the site and I couldn't view the index page with cuteftp, access was denied.

Eventually the host, which is secondardy hosting in Portugal but really Fast Hosts in UK, supplied new passwords. You can't change the passwords or username yourself. They suggested the site had been the victim of script injection and interestingly enough there is a page on their website about the subject.

This morning a friend messaged me to say that one of the sites had malware on it again, I wasn't refused access and could view the script, which is on Before Google had denied access and AVG had flagged. Every page on two websites with the same host have had a script put on. The script starts kc and are just a bunch of numbers with kjpove function.

This has to be a hosting problem surely, for it to happen twice.

I've said they've got to change the hosting and probably the web address, trying to switch it over would be a nightmare with their hosts who take ages to answer emails.

Checking your Google ranking

I recently watched this video about checking your search engine ranking which explains that you might not be listed as high as you think you are because Google personalises the results and lists websites that you visit regularly higher than ones that you've not visited before.

[url]http://www.bradleyspencer.com/2009/does-your-site-rank-lower-than-you-think/[/url]

I don't think that is quite right though. From my understanding Google only does that if you are using the Web History on your Google account. Does anybody else have any experience of this?

I hope someone can help me understand....

My company has a website that is updated by a web company- not their original design; they inherited it from another company I worked with. On our site it notes copyright to the web company and not to my company.

Now I am in the market for a change to another web company. Since they marked it as their copyright- can I change to another web company without issues?

Side note: Domains are in my name.

Windows 7 .. has anyone used it?

Hi,

I am hearing a lot of good stuff about Windows 7 from a few nerd friends of mine:

- it is much faster.
- loads and shuts down faster.
- lighter than XP in terms of the install.
- gets rid of all the stupid Vista security problems.

Has anyone here used Windows 7 yet?
