			<summary type="html"><![CDATA[i want to use a jquery tooltip on my site but my problem is that i have two input fields side by side. This means that when i click into a field the position of the tooltip does not appear in the same place (x position) on the page as desired. It appears relative to the field because i have the following parameter.

// a little tweaking of the position
	offset: [0, 165],

Ideally i would like to do away with using offset. Is there a parameter i can use like xposition, yposition, or xpos, ypos or something similar...basically i want the tooltip to appear at the same x value on the page regardless of the posion of the field. Is this even possible - im thinking could it be done using absolute values...?

Anyone know the solution or where i might find it?

I have tried about a million things. I am simply trying to combine jquery validation plugin with ajax form submit. I have resigned myself to being happy with a simple javascript popup thank you message via an ajax submit. This is done in order to prevent the user from leaving the page on form submit.

I "think" I need to use a submitHandler in the validation JS and call the ajax submit. But I am unable to piece it together. This is the very last piece of the puzzle for me and this site. Once I get this backend stuff working it's all formatting (easy stuff).

The JS validation works perfect. When JS is off I'll just use my good old PHP script I have. Here is the page in it's entirety. Please help put me out of my misery. I'm definitely working above my pay-grade here.

        $("#"+id_holder+" .selectitems").mouseout(function(){
            $(this).removeClass("hoverclass");
        });
        $("#"+id_holder+" .selectitems").click(function(){
            $("#"+id_holder+" .selectedclass").removeClass("selectedclass");
            $(this).addClass("selectedclass");
            var thisselection = $(this).html();

    });
}

$(document).ready(function() { $('#demoselect, #loginselect').SelectCustomizer();
})
</script>[/code]

Here is what fires Fancybox
[code]$(document).ready(function() {
        $("a#contact").fancybox({
            'frameWidth': 300,
            'frameHeight': 300
        });
  }); [/code]

And here is the solution that puts them together...

I have put together a basic submission form on my website. Here, take a look:

[url=http://www.ahiweb.ca/book.html]www.ahiweb.ca/book.html[/url]

I am using Dreamweavers client side validation tool, but it won't work. I am clicking on behaviors, I click the + sign, I validate each form field, I can see the javascript generated in my code. But when I enter an incorrect email address when i fill out my form, the form processes itself as if everything was ok.

Anyone know why this is happening?

heheh, and here I thought it was implementing recaptcha that would cause me the difficulty. That actually went quite smooth.]]></summary>
