  1. you can try Avast antivirus for mac, or eset for mac.
  2. Also if you can afford latest adobe creative suite, will be better, as it has more tools, also they have optimized some programs, like photoshop, illustrator, in design, and adobe premier. And dreamweaver cs5 has html5 compatibility built in, and recently adobe launched an html5 kit for illustrator.
  3. also windows 7 disc, have a built in migration wizard, that can make a backup of your system settings and files to make the process easier. you can run it from the disc, just search for "migwiz" on your disc of windows 7, and just continue the process that will appear on your screen. It's really easy. I have migrated various xp machines to win 7 using migwiz from win7, and it's a piece of cake.
  4. There as some software built for xp, that doesn't work in windows 7, although you can make them work if you have windows 7 pro or ultimate, just by downloading and installing windows xp mode for your windows 7 installation, and in that way you can run old software or incompatible in windows 7.
  5. for compatibility of your sites with ie 6, 7, 8, and 9, you will need to add this code in the head section of your page. <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=6; IE=7; IE=8; IE=9"> </head> <body> </body> </html>
  6. IE9 now fully support html5 and css3, so it will complain with w3c standards, as it does now.
