i am working on my blog and i want to show only couple of sentences of each of my post.the rest hide behind the "read more" or i guess you call it expandable summery. i found couple answers online but all very confusing and i am new to blog, is there a css code that i simply type into the page?. please help

Sounds like you may want to use the the_excerpt() function within your Wordpress template. See http://codex.wordpre...nce/the_excerpt for more info.
This is something that you would need to do using PHP within your Wordpress theme, and can't be done using CSS.
