Taking browser notes

Hi everyone, or is that possibly two to my own little blog of erm, possibilities. Anyway, I hope that I can do my little bit for KillerSites and the people associated with this wonderfully, comfy, little environment who (it must be noted) have in the past given me much food for thought. I'm thinking mostly of billyboy, but also too of the likes of Eric, Susie, Stef and most of the older (from back when) regulars.

But, for now, thanks to falkencreative for making this first blog possible by tweaking this very new forum for me. It can't be easy putting up with all sorts computer users wanting everything to work as normal.

...Yeah anyway, 'Taking browser notes'. A little while ago I happened upon two very different Firefox add-ons. I won't bore you with why I had been looking for what I found, as it now has no relation to my original need.

Wouldn't it be great if you could highlight a whole bunch of lines and then save the whole web site page you were highlighting. Well, there is a way. You, being more aware than I have been of late may already have had this one in the bag, so to speak, for quite some time. But just in case you haven't...

Yooper will allow you to highlight in whatever colour you wish to use, whilst Screengrab allows you to save whatever highlighted and non-highlighted page you wish. With Screengrab you get the whole length of the web page too.

Yooper & Screengrab

Note: I've since had to edit the screengrab link as it was going nowhere.

Hi,

I was not aware of Yooper. Yes, profiling interesting browser plug-ins and just browser features would make for a great series for a blog. How about a set on:

- firefox
- chrome
- safari
- ie 8+

Thanks for the blog.

I'll try my best, though it wasn't my intention to do just stuff about browsers. Still, now that you mention it this could become quite useful to some folks out there (including meself), and anyway it'll give me something useful to do while I try and make an effort re-learning all this stuff. So thanks for the comments. B)

Oh btw, I've since downloaded Google's Chrome, so that means I'll be taking erm, more browser notes.

Firefox provides various useful plugins. It is most helpful to Web Design, SEO and many mores.
