<description>Hi! Thanks for the podcast, some good points there. Though I think you skipped maybe the most important aspect of this kind of comparision, and that's SEO (search engine optimization). Although work is being done to include contents of a flash file available for search engine spiders, it's hardly a substitute for well structured, semantic (X)HTML document in this matter. Google can't follow links inside flash movie, or see what's a heading and what's a paragraph, and thus decide what's important and what's not.

So when you want best possible rankings in search engines, you're good to go with AJAX + (X)HTML code. And don't get me wrong, I'm a major flash-lover myself! I was really thrilled to find out about AJAX libraries such as Scriptaculous, Mootools and my weapon of choise, jQuery. By using these, you can include some pretty cool animated menus, database integrations etc and still get the benefits of your site being properly crawled. Plus site is accessible to more people, for example those using screen readers. And when you build your site from content up with progressive enhancement, you get site that's well accessible to mobile devices and such. (See http://alistapart.com/articles/understandingprogressiveenhancement )

OK, that's all i had to say :) Keep up the good work!
