I've installed IE7 on all of the machines in our office (all of which have Dreamweaver on them) and have never had any of the FTP settings wiped out.

Granted IE7 isn't that great, but it is better than 6 and we all still have FireFox to fall back on.

On a windows machine (XP SP2) you can install the IE7 as a stand alone and keep the old IE Version(s):
http://tredosoft.com/IE7_standalone

enjoy :)

"Once IE7 is installed, it will have done you the favor of wiping out all your Dreamweaver FTP settings. Thanks Microsoft."

I've installed IE7 but I never had this problem. However, I've had instances where pages look the same on the new Firefox and IE7, but the same page looks different on IE6.

Interesting stuff indeed.
